この失言については保守系の速報サイトから回ってきたが、英語圏ツイッターで多くの人が話題にしていて事実と思われる。FOXニュースでも速報としてネタにされていた。英語が苦手な人はYouTubeの字幕表示をオンにすればいい。300 AmericansというフレーズをわざわざI want to repeatと言ってまで繰り返しているのが分かる。他の部分もどもったり詰まったりで危なっかしい記者会見である。

こうした失言に対する予防措置なのか知らないが、記者会見でどんな質問をするかを前もって聞いておくらしい。度々やらかしていることから措置を講じたものと思われる。突発的に鋭い質問をする記者はお呼びでないということだろう。果たしてこの調子で米国のコロナ感染は収束するのか？犠牲者数の増加は食い止められるのか？お手並み拝見といこうじゃないか。
